Mint Acai Berry Smoothie

This antioxidant-rich smoothie is packed with seasonal, winter berries, treated with fresh mint for an energizing blend!

Acai, blueberries, and blackberries have some of the highest antioxidant levels of any other fruit, making them ideal in cancer prevention.

Flaxseed and hemp seed milk are impressive essential fatty acids sources. Both are rich in the omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), while hemp seed milk also touts omega-6’s linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).

The benefits of the essential fatty acids and antioxidants found in this smoothie may help aid in inflammation and pain relief as well.


1 c. frozen blueberriesacai smuti.png

1 c. frozen blackberries

1 package of Sambazon frozen acai berry packs (I found mine at Costco!)

1 frozen banana

1 c. spinach

1 c. vanilla hemp seed milk (I used )

1-2 handfuls of ice cubes

1/4 c. ground flaxseed

1 few sprigs of fresh mint leaves, to taste

Optional: a few squeezes of fresh lemon

Top it off with a few banana slices, blueberries, granola, and why not a few pieces of dark chocolate 😉 to make it more of an acai “bowl”.
